About me
Early Childhood Assistant Teacher

Archna holds a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) degree from India and is also certified as an Ayurveda Practitioner through the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) in the United States. Her background in health and wellness has shaped her appreciation for the connection between movement, mindfulness, daily routines, and overall well-being.

She has enjoyed teaching yoga and mindful movement to children and believes that early childhood is a wonderful time to introduce these practices in simple, playful, and age-appropriate ways. Through yoga, breathing exercises, movement, and mindfulness activities, children can begin developing body awareness, concentration, confidence, and a sense of calm.

Ayurveda is a traditional Indian approach to well-being that emphasizes daily routines, nourishment, movement, and connection with nature. Many of these principles align naturally with the Montessori philosophy, particularly its emphasis on independence, awareness, respect, curiosity, and learning through meaningful experiences.

In the classroom, Archna enjoys creating a calm and nurturing environment where children can learn through movement, exploration, and hands-on activities. Her goal is to support each child as they develop confidence, practical life skills, self-awareness, and a genuine love of learning.

Outside of school, she enjoys practicing yoga, continuing her study of Ayurveda, spending time with her family, and creating thoughtful activities that support children's growth and development.
